The second annual Pumpkin Patch day has arrived! We decided to try a new pumpkin patch this year and headed to the Oak Tree Village. It’s a village filled with fun fall activities – pumpkin patches, apple picking, hay rides, apple cider, and more! Our first stop was a cute little souvenir shop that reminded us all of our midwest towns.
About a half mile in to heading down the road to the next part of the village, we realized this wasn’t a quaint little village – it was a five mile long area, and it was NOT walkable. In an attempt to shorten our long, dry, dusty, forlorn journey back to the car, I tried to
hail a taxi hitchhike. No one wanted to pick us up, as innocent as we looked.
After walking for a mile, it was time to chow. This fall village offered me exactly what I wanted – a big ol’ dog that I could eat while listening to a cover band play some Kansas.
Our day ended with an attempt to get a nice, sun-setting roommate photo, but alas – no one around could operate a DSLR. We’ll have to get a good Christmas photo to hang on the fridge this year!
Thank you, Alesha Braden, for your photos!
