In Los Angeles, fall is more of a choice than a season. My roommates and I are all midwesterners, so we miss the classic fall staples we don’t see a lot of in California – changing colors on the trees, chilly afternoons, and apple cider straight from the orchard. This weekend, we decided to hunt down autumn, and we drove two hours outside of LA to the Live Oak Canyon Pumpkin Patch!
It was the perfect daytrip to remind us of fall. They had two live music stages playing folk and country, fair rides for kids, string lights strung through all the trees, and a huge pumpkin patch on display!
My favorite part of the day was getting lost in the corn maze scavenger hunt. We entered at sunset and watched as they lit up the maze with colored lights! Our night ended with sharing a huge funnel cake and feeding some surprisingly aggressive goats in the petting zoo.
